Good news for all the fans of Munna Bhai! Sanju baba will soon be seen playing the cop in the Tamil remake of Saamy titled Thanedar Returns. Though often big stars play cops on screen, no one fits the uniform better than Sanjay Dutt!  

Thanedar Returns will have Dutt playing a corrupt cop who later gives up his wayward mannerism to become a role model cop who stands up against corrupt individuals.

Produced by T. P. Agarwal, the film will also feature south actor Prakash Raj playing the quintessential villain along with Om Puri, who will feature in a pivotal role. The film goes on floor from August 20 and the makers are looking at having a 52-day schedule in Hyderabad where a special set is being erected.

The film will also mark director K. S. Ravikumar's Bollywood debut.
