Veteran Bollywood actor Dara Singh, who had been battling for his life for the last few days, passed away early this morning. The 84 year old actor suffered severe brain damage following a cardiac arrest last week.

He was admitted at the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital since July 7 and was discharged only yesterday.

Beofre his entry into Bollywood, Dara Singh was a professional wrestlers. He is much remembered for his role as Lord Hanuman in the epic TV series Ramayan.

He has acted in over 100 films and was last seen in Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met.
