A new social media trend that challenges children to set "evil dolls" on fire to mimic horror scenes, can turn highly dangerous, warned Dubai Police, adding that it could lead to "fires, injuries and even fatalities".

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has extended his "warmest wishes" to those celebrating Diwali, the Indian festival of lights, wishing everyone "peace, safety and prosperity".

Delivery riders will not be allowed to use the fast lanes in Dubai from November 1, under new rules to improve road safety and "reduce fatalities and injuries".
