The UAE Armed Forces announced new deals worth over AED 7.29 billion on the second day of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and the Naval Defence Exhibition (NAVDEX) in Abu Dhabi.
A total of 11 contracts were signed on Monday with several local and international companies.
It takes the total value of deals signed by the UAE Armed Forces at the exhibitions to AED 12.32 billion.
"The total amount of deals signed with international parties amounted to AED 6.983 billion, which is 95 per cent of the total deal value for today, and AED 310 million of deals were agreed with UAE companies, which is 5 per cent of today’s total deal value," said Staff Brigadier-General Mohammed Al Hassani, Official Spokesperson of the IDEX and NAVDEX exhibitions.
"Nine contracts were awarded to international companies, while two deals were finalised with companies based in the UAE. 11 deals were signed in total," he added.
