Search to replace IMF's Lagarde begins

Who will replace Christine Lagarde as the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)?

That’s the question on the lips of finance ministers across the continent of Europe.

Last week, European leaders chose Lagarde to take over Mario Draghi's position as president of the European Central Bank.

On Saturday French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said lawmakers need to find a “good European” candidate to replace Lagarde.

He said European finance ministers are expected to discuss the issue at a meeting in Brussels next week.
