The UAE has been ranked among the top 20 exporters in the world, according to a report by the World Trade Organisation (WTO). At number 20, UAE also placed first in the Middle East and Africa in commodity exports. The country had a 31.5 per cent share of the region’s total exports in 2015, compared to 28 per cent in 2014, as well as 30.8 per cent of total imports. The figures, which were part of the Report on International Trade Trends, were released at the recently held International Autumn Trade Fair in Dubai.
