The first acts in the entertainment lineup for this year's Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix have been announced.

Internationally acclaimed DJ and producer Tiësto will kick off proceedings at Etihad Park on the opening night of the #AbuDhabiGP weekend on Thursday, November 23.

Global pop star Ava Max will also take to the stage on Thursday, marking her debut appearance in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Hall of Fame icons Foo Fighters will close out the 15th edition of the Abu Dhabi GP on Sunday, November 26.

When they walk onto stage following the conclusion of the final race of the longest ever F1 season at Yas Marina Circuit, it will mark the first ever UAE performance for the 15-time Grammy award-winning band.

The confirmation of the first acts at this year’s Yasalam after-race concerts is the first announcement following the launch of Ethara, a new industry powerhouse that will shape the future of events, entertainment, and venue management.

"With the introduction of additional viewing areas including Deck at Two, our Hill Top Clubhouse at Flag Hill and our West Straight Grandstand, we are sure that fans of the Abu Dhabi GP are in for an unforgettable experience in November," said Saif Rashid Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara.

Alongside a host of new additions for this year’s event, music superfans can now secure the best spot for this year’s concerts with an exclusive Early Bird Discount on Golden Circle Upgrades available across the full #AbuDhabiGP weekend.

Further artists are still to be announced for this year’s line-up.

The expansion of this year’s biggest sports and entertainment weekend matches the record-setting ticket demand.

Just weeks after the official ticket launch took place, organisers announced that several Grandstands had sold out more than nine months before the F1 teams head to Abu Dhabi for the season finale.

The visitor experience and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holder value also continues to grow. Alongside Yas All In, giving ticket holders complimentary access to one of Yas Island’s theme parks across 7 days – including the soon to open Sea World Abu Dhabi – ticket holders will also get complimentary access to Louvre Abu Dhabi and Qasr Al Watan.
