Jake Gyllenhaal thinks he's "ruined" at least two movies. The 'Nightcrawler' star - who is the son of screenwriter Naomi Foner Gyllenhaal and director Stephen Gyllenhaal - joked he probably made things difficult for his mother when she was working at home by knocking on the door whilst she was shut away in her office. He shared: "I remember knocking on her closed door and probably ruining a screenplay or two." The 35-year-old actor also revealed he has a specific way of preparing a role and takes his "guidance" from rapper The Notorious B.I.G. Speaking at the Dubai International Film Festival, he added: "I take my guidance from hip hop, you act like your first time might be your last time, and that's from Biggie [the Notorious B.I.G.]. "I realised early on that I wasn't as smart as I thought I was and had to spend a long time preparing [for a role]." Meanwhile, Jake recently expressed his disappointment at thinking of acting as "just a job" at one point in his life. He said: "I feel I've returned to the emotional place I was in when I was acting as a kid. "At one point in my career several years back I got away from that innocent kind of inspiration and what makes acting truly beautiful, not just a job."
