2 killed, 7 injured as Russian plane makes emergency landing

An Antonov An-24 passenger plane made an emergency landing at a regional airport in Siberia on Thursday, leaving two people dead.

According to reports, the plane caught fire after it over-shot the runway and hit a small building.

Seven people have been injured in the incident. 

Operated by Russian regional airline Angara, the flight with 46 passengers and four crew members was en route from the regional capital of Ulan-Ude to Nizhneangarsk.
