Australia's Prime Minister says it's not credible to link climate change to the bushfires raging across large parts of the country.
Scott Morrison says several other factors are to blame, despite a recent record-breaking heatwave.
In the last week, the fires have killed at least three people and destroyed dozens of homes.
Australia is one of the world’s largest carbon emitters per capita because of its reliance on coal-fired power plants.
Earlier this month, the country drew criticism at a UN summit in Madrid for its climate-change policy of using old carbon credits to count towards future emissions targets.
