The toll from Thursday's terror attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 45.
Officials added that 38 others are being treated for their injuries.
Calling it the worst-ever terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir since 1989, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that those behind the plot will be punished.
The attack took place Thursday evening when a member of the JeM terror outfit rammed an explosive-laden SUV into a bus carrying CRPF troopers in the Pulwama district on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway.
