Pakistan's top court on Monday started hearing cases through video link.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Asif Saeed Khosa formally initiated the e-court system by connecting the Principal Seat in Islamabad with the Supreme Court Branch Registry in Karachi.
The electronic system is said to benefit lawyers as well as litigants and make the judicial system more responsive to the needs of the people.
