Iranian negotiators were in Doha on Sunday for a third consecutive day of discussions with Qatari mediators aimed at reaching a deal to end the conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel.
An official briefed on the talks told Reuters that the discussions followed meetings between Qatari mediators and Iranian officials in Tehran on Friday before negotiations moved to Doha.
The talks are being coordinated through regular contacts with Washington.
US President Donald Trump has said the United States will not launch new attacks on Iran before the November 3 midterm elections and that talks with Tehran have been productive, although he has not ruled out further military action afterwards.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that no decision had been taken on new strikes and that the administration would prefer a diplomatic resolution.
