About 12,000 motorists have been granted exemption from paying the AED 4 fee while crossing the toll gates in Abu Dhabi.
Exemptions are granted to senior and retired citizens, families with limited income and people of determination.
The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) said that Darb toll gate users have crossed 400,000.
The new toll gates were made operational from January 2, 2021 and are located on four bridges, namely the Sheikh Zayed Bridge, the Sheikh Khalifa Bridge, Al Maqta Bridge and Musaffah Bridge in Abu Dhabi.
Thanks to your cooperation, the total number of registered accounts in the #DARB_AbuDhabi Toll Gate System have exceeded 400,00 users. And 12,000 exemption approvals are granted to deserving categories.
