A five-member gang has been arrested in Sharjah for targetting and robbing several electronic stores in the Emirate.
Sharjah Police said they laid a trap for the gang after receiving numerous reports of thefts.
They recovered stolen items, which included mobile phones, cash, watches, computers, electronic devices and others, from their residences.
The case has been transferred to the public prosecution for legal action.
The authority urged shopkeepers to invest in surveillance cameras to monitor their goods and to keep cash and valuables in secure lockers.
