The sixth World Health Organisation (WHO) Emergency Medical Teams (EMT) Global Meeting kicked off today in Abu Dhabi, marking the first edition to be held in the Middle East.
With over 1,300 participants from 140 countries, the meeting will run until November 7, and focuses on strengthening global health emergency response capabilities.
The event is organised by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, in partnership with WHO and the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP). It brings together healthcare leaders, experts, and organisations to discuss strategies for improving emergency medical response, including the WHO’s EMT 2030 Strategy.
