Australia has thanked the UAE for helping evacuate its citizens from Afghanistan.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received a phone call on Thursday from Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, who expressed his gratitude for the UAE's efforts.
Several members of diplomatic missions of friendly countries were also evacuated.
The leaders also exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual concern.
