A swimming pool at a sports centre in Dubai has been shut down for not complying with COVID-19 safety protocols.
Authorities have also fined two fitness centres for a similar offence.
They were pulled up for not ensuring safe distance inside the facilities and also because an employee was not wearing a face mask.
The violations were found during field visits carried out by teams from Dubai Sports Council and Dubai Economy.
Inspections will be intensified in the coming days to ensure all sports and fitness centres are following the rules.

The Council urged all clubs and training centers to strictly and strictly apply all precautionary measures included in the protocol for returning to the practice of sporting activity and training, and also stressed the continuation
