Dubai Public Prosecution has successfully brought to court a case against a company manager for misusing work permits.
The manager, who had employed two female UAE nationals under the NAFIS program for a period of four months, was accused of using the work permits for purposes other than those intended.
The court has imposed a fine of AED 100,000 on the manager, with the fine being multiplied by the number of workers involved.
Additionally, the two employees have been ordered to return a sum of AED 20,000.
This case highlights Dubai Public Prosecution's commitment to enforcing labor laws and ensuring that employment practices are conducted in accordance with legal standards.
