Dubai Police and the Community Development Authority (CDA) have teamed up to help families keep children safe at home, online, while travelling and around water.
The awareness campaign, called 'Our Children’s Summer is Safe', was held during the second half of August across five neighbourhood councils in Al Awir, Al Warqa, Nad Al Sheba, Al Khawaneej and Al Barsha.
The workshops focused on practical ways to prevent accidents and protect children, particularly during the summer and ahead of the new school year.
Families were reminded to closely supervise children around swimming pools and beaches to help prevent drowning.
Parents were also urged to monitor children’s online activity and warn them about unsafe links and conversations with strangers.
The sessions covered safety while travelling, as well as precautions around windows and balconies, including keeping children away from potential climbing hazards.
With schools reopening, parents were also encouraged to gradually adjust children’s sleep schedules and help them feel confident and comfortable about returning to school.
Dubai Police said protecting children is a shared responsibility between families, communities and authorities.
The CDA said the initiative supports family stability, children’s wellbeing and the goals of the Dubai Social Agenda 33.
The campaign is part of wider efforts to build a culture of prevention and create safer environments for children.
