Dubai Police have helped reunite a six-year-old girl with her family within 30 minutes of her being reported missing from Frij Al Murar area.
A search team was dispatched as soon as the police control room were alerted about the incident.
Officers circulated the girl’s photograph among all police patrols and teams at the Naif station.
Within half an hour, the girl was found deeply distressed on a street within the station’s area of jurisdiction.
She was taken to the Naif station, where officers comforted her until she was reunited with her father.
According to the father, the girl went missing when he had taken her grocery shopping near their home. When he couldn't find her, he returned home hoping she went back on her own.
It's when the family couldn't find her at home, or in the neighbourhood, that they raised an alarm.
Dubai Police urged parents to always keep an eye on their children in public places and to teach children to seek help from police officers or security personnel if they lose contact with their parents.
