Dubai Police trains school security guards on traffic safety

Dubai Police has provided traffic safety training to more than 140 security guards working across 35 schools in Dubai.

The courses focused on managing traffic during busy school drop-off and pick-up periods, responding to minor accidents and helping students board and leave school buses safely.

Participants were also trained to recognise traffic signs and report accidents through the Dubai Police smart app, as well as how to respond to traffic or security emergencies until the relevant authorities arrive.

The programme included practical exercises simulating incidents that security guards could encounter around schools.

Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, said the training aims to improve traffic flow and safety around school premises.
