An emergency alert has buzzed on mobile phones in Dubai as the police warned residents about traffic congestion around Dubai World Trade Centre due to the week-long GITEX event.
Residents have been advised to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
The Road Transports Authority (RTA) has urged those attending the event to use the Dubai Metro for easy access to the event.
Those travelling from Abu Dhabi are recommended to park at the National Paints stations and take the Dubai Metro to the exhibition, while motorists in Dubai and other emirates can park at the e& and Centerpoint metro stations.
