His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, will cover the treatment costs for a Jordanian girl suffering from spinal muscular atrophy.
Dubai Media Office announced that Katya Abu Al-Saud will receive the life-saving treatment at Dubai's Al Jalila Hospital.
The family of the 16-month-old had posted an online appeal in a bid to raise up to $2.4 million for the treatment that's not available in Jordan.
In a video posted later, the girl's mother thanked the Dubai ruler for his generosity.
