Authorities in the UAE have urged the public to exercise caution and follow COVID-19 safety guidelines during the festive season.
During the weekly media briefing, Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, official spokesperson for the health sector in the country, highlighted how COVID-19 numbers have seen a significant rise globally, with many countries declaring states of emergency.
She emphasised that all efforts are being carried out on the national front to ensure public health and safety.
Dr Al Ghaithi stressed the need for the eligible population to get the booster shots as its crucial in the fight against COVID-19.
She also highlighted this week's approval of Sinopharm CNPG's new recombinant protein vaccine.
