Police in Sharjah have been quick to respond to a woman’s appeal for help on social media.
She posted a video seeking protection from her abusive husband, and he was later questioned.
Officials say the case was swiftly dealt with, but they’ve urged people not to share such clips because of the sensitivities involved.
Earlier this week, the UAE cabinet approved a new family protection policy aimed at tackling domestic violence.
A note of what is being shared through social media about the case of an Asian nationality women who was exposed to violence by her husband in the Emirate of Sharjah, the case was dealt with by the competent authorities.
