The UAE's Ministry of Education has announced the resumption of in-person learning for all children, students, and staff in public and private nurseries, kindergartens, and schools starting April 20.
The authority stated that the decision follows the schools' completion of the necessary preparations, including updated safety and security procedures and training for staff in efforts to ensure a "safe and reassuring learning environment for students and their families".
In a statement shared on social media X, the ministry added that private schools have the flexible option to implement the hybrid rotational model when needed, in accordance with approved regulations and authorities' supervision.
Those planning to apply the hybrid model are required to organise teacher and staff assignments in a manner that is able to accommodate in-person and remote learning, and does not require them to deliver it simultaneously, the ministry noted.
The ministry also shared that educational institutions will remain prepared to transition to alternative learning modes when needed.
