The UAE's leaders have expressed their condolences following the death of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother.
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a cable of condolences to Modi.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also dispatched a similar cable of condolences.
Modi's mother Hiraben passed away at the age of 99 at a hospital in the city of Ahmedabad in the early hours of Friday.
