UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron during a meeting on the sidelines of the G7 Summit on Tuesday.
Held in the French city of Évian-les-Bains, the meeting saw the two leaders discuss various aspects of cooperation and joint work, including opportunities for its development, especially in the economic, investment, technology, artificial intelligence and energy fields.
The meeting also touched on and exchanged views on a number of issues and topics of common interest, most notably the developments taking place in the Middle East region.
Sheikh Mohamed thanked the French President for the warm welcome, expressing his appreciation for his invitation to attend the 52nd G7 summit, and wishing him success in leading the group’s meetings.
Several other non-G7 countries have also been invited as guests, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
