The UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has hailed the role of teachers in nurturing and inspiring young people.
In a special message to mark World Teachers' Day, Sheikh Mohamed lauded the contributions of educators in helping future generations to develop and thrive.
He also received a delegation of teachers from across the country at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi.
Referencing the different nationalities of those assembled, His Highness said they were a credit to their home countries and that the UAE was privileged to welcome them.
Sheikh Mohamed also reiterated that the provision of quality education remains a key priority for the UAE.
