UAE residents felt tremors on Tuesday morning after two strong earthquakes struck south of Iran.
Posting on social media, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said a 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck at 8:59 am, followed by a 6-magnitude earthquake at 9:10 am.
Both quakes were recorded at a depth of 10 km.
The NCM added that it was "slightly felt by residents and without any effects on the UAE".
