Food regulatory bodies in Abu Dhabi are going the extra mile to ensure that meals served by food trucks are of good quality.
In a video, published by national news agency WAM, food inspectors are seen collecting samples of meals served in the trucks on Al Hudayriat Island, and having them immediately checked at the mobile laboratory parked nearby.
Jointly coordinated by the Abu Dhabi Council for Quality and Conformity and the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, the campaign aims at speeding up food checks through on-site quality control.
It’s part of efforts to protect public health and safety.
The labs conduct microbiological analysis on the quality and perishability of the food served.
