A joint operation has been launched by the UAE and Egypt to air-drop humanitarian aid in northern Gaza.
Teams from the UAE Air Force and the Egyptian Air Force carried out operation 'Birds of Goodness' using three aircraft loaded with around 36 tonnes of food and medical aid.
According to the UAE's Ministry of Defence, the aid was dropped in Jabalia and Beit Lahia areas using special boxes equipped with GPS technology to ensure that it reaches the designated locations at the appropriate times.
The initiative is part of the 'Gallant Knight 3' humanitarian operation, which was launched on November 5, 2023 to ease the suffering of the Palestinian people affected by the war in Gaza.
