Abu Dhabi gears up for UAE Muay Thai Open Championship

As many as 551 fighters are set to compete in the UAE Muay Thai Open Championship, which runs from August 9-11 at the Space 42 Arena in Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi.

The event will feature competitors from 47 national clubs, demonstrating a strong commitment to promoting Muay Thai and offering valuable opportunities for youth and junior athletes.

Male and female participants, ranging in age from 8 to 23, will battle it out in 12 weight categories. The championship begins with weigh-ins and medical checks on August 8, followed by preliminary rounds starting at 10:00 am on August 9.

Action will resume at 10:00 am on August 10, with the finals set to begin at noon on August 11.

"Building on the recent successes of the UAE Kickboxing Championship, we are delighted to host the UAE Muay Thai Open Championship, which offers a premier opportunity for young and emerging talents to elevate their competitive edge, gain invaluable experience, and use their vacation time for meaningful development in their Muay Thai journey," said Ali Khouri, Board Member of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation.
