Colin Ackermann has set a new T20 world record.

The Leicestershire captain recorded bowling figures of 7-18 in his side's victory against Birmingham Bears.

The off-spinner's performance is now the best ever in the shortest format of the game, bettering the 6-5 by Arul Suppiah in 2011.

The win also improves Leicestershire's chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals of the T20 Blast.
