Eight out of the top 10 players are in action on day three of the tennis championship.

Fourteenth seed Caroline Garcia is safely through to the second round of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

She beat Russia's Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in straight sets on Monday night to set-up a second-round clash with Jennifer Brady.

Meanwhile, Dominika Cibulková also won her first round encounter in three sets and will now play fourth seed Karolina Pliskova later on Tuesday.

The 2013 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships winner Petra Kvitová is also in action and will take on Katerina Siniakova at 11:00 am on Centre Court.

That match will be followed by two-time defending champion Elina Svitolina playing against Tunisia's Ons Jabeur.
