Al Ain have crashed out of the AFC Champions League after losing 2-0 to Qatar’s Al Duhail in their Group C clash at Hazza Bin Zayed stadium.

The 2016 finalists have not won a single game in the tournament this season.

Elsewhere, Dubai side Al Wasl lost 2-0 away to Iran’s Al Zobahan, leaving them at the bottom of Group A, while a last-gasp strike from substitute Nawaf Al Farshan earned Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr a 2-1 victory over Iraq’s Al Zawraa.

In other games, Guangzhou Evergrande were held to a 1-1 draw by an under-strength Melbourne Victory, Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale fought back from a goal down to draw 2-2 with South Korea’s Ulsan FC, and Sanfrecce Hiroshima beat South Korea’s Daegu FC 1-0.

Sydney FC kept alive their campaign with a 2-2 away draw to Shanghai SIPG, while Sebastian Giovinco scored the only goal of the game as 10-man Al Hilal defeated Iran's Esteghlal FC 1-0.
