Ajax, Brugge, Slavia secure Champions League spots

Ajax has secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League group stage after beating APOEL 2-0 in their playoff second-leg on Wednesday following a scoreless draw last week.

The Dutch giants will be joined by Belgian side Club Brugge and Slavia Prague in the main draw.

Brugge beat Austria’s LASK Linz 2-1 for a 3-1 aggregate win, while Prague edged Romania’s CFR Cluj 1-0 to make it 2-0 on aggregate.

The draw for the group stages of the Champions League will be made on Thursday.
