Al Ain’s hopes of finishing in the top-three of the Arabian Gulf League suffered another blow after drawing 2-2 with Ittihad Kalba at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

All four goals came in the first-half, with Ivorian forward Giovanni Sio netting a brace for Kalba, and Bandar Al Ahbabi and Mohammad Khalfan getting on the score sheet for the hosts.

Al Ain have now failed to get a win in their last five league games.

The defending champions remain fourth in the table with 40 points, a point behind third-paced Al Jazira, who host Abu Dhabi rivals Al Wahda on Thursday.
