Atletico stun Barcelona in Super Cup

Atletico Madrid fought back to beat Barcelona 3-2 in the semifinals of the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.

Koke had put Atletico in front at the start of the second half but Lionel Messi levelled in the 51st minute.

Antoine Griezmann then made it 2-1 for Barca in the 65th minute but Alvaro Morata equalised from the penalty spot (81’) and Argentinian forward Ángel Correa struck the winner in the 86th minute.

Atletico will face city rivals Real Madrid in the final at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah on Sunday.

Real had beaten Valencia 3-1 in the other semifinal, played on Wednesday.
