Can Bangladesh win the World Cup?

Bangladesh put on a spirited performance on Monday to beat the West Indies - but can they go all the way?

Shakib al Hasan smashed an unbeaten century to help his side easily chase down their target of 322 with more than 50 balls to spare.

Liton Das also hit a quickfire 94 off just 69 balls.

The seven-wicket victory is Bangladesh's highest ever run chase in a One Day International (ODI).

It takes them to fifth place in the World Cup table with five points.

Bangladesh, who have never won the World Cup before, also beat South Africa by 21 runs in their first match of the tournament.

Their next match is against table-toppers Australia on Thursday.

So far their highest achievement in the championship is reaching the Super Eight stage in 2007 and the quarter-finals in 2015.
