Champions League: Liverpool, PSG suffer defeats

JAVIER SORIANO / AFP

Liverpool will have to come from behind in their Champions League last-16 clash against Atletico Madrid.

Jurgen Klopp's men suffered a 1-0 defeat in the first-leg in Spain on Tuesday.

Saul Niguez's first-half goal was enough to give Atletico the advantage ahead of the return fixture at Anfield in three weeks' time.

Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund overcame PSG 2-1 to take a narrow lead to the French capital for the second leg next month.

Erling Haaland gave Dortmund the lead in the 69th minute but the visitors pulled level six minutes later from a tap-in by Neymar.

Haaland then scored again to settle the match with 13 minutes remaining.
