New Zealand batter Mark Chapman and fast bowler Zak Foulkes have been ruled out of the Twenty20 series against India with injuries.
Chapman tore his left hamstring while playing in the European T20 League last month, but is expected to be fit for the ODI series.
Foulkes injured his right hip flexor during a recent training session with Canterbury, and there is no timeline yet for his return. All-rounder Josh Clarkson and fast bowler Blair Tickner have been called up to replace them.
"I'm gutted for Mark and Zak and I wish them both a smooth recovery," coach Rob Walter said.
New Zealand will host India for five T20s, five one-day internationals and two Tests, with the series opening in Christchurch on October 22.
The squad for the series includes Mitchell Santner (captain), Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Josh Clarkson, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Bevon Jacobs, Kyle Jamieson, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Tim Seifert, Nathan Smith and Blair Tickner.
