Cilic, Tsonga and Raonic progress at Paris Masters

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Marin Cilic and Milos Raonic are some of the big names who have advanced to the second round of the Paris Masters.

Frenchman Tsonga beat Russia’s Andrey Rublev 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 to win his first ATP Masters 1000 match in more than two years.

Cilic eased past Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz 7-6, 6-4 to set up a meeting with three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka, while Canadian Raonic crushed Britain's Cameron Norrie 6-3, 6-2.

Elsewhere, Jeremy Chardy overcame American Sam Querrey 5-7, 6-3, 7-5 and will face fourth seed Daniil Medvedev next.

Benoit Paire has set an all-French showdown with 13th seed Gael Monfils.
