Cricket: Cook leads England’s response to Pakistan’s daunting target

NULL

After Pakistan declared on an impressive 523-8, Alastair Cook led England’s reply in the first Test in Abu Dhabi. The captain’s unbeaten 168 helped England to close day three on 290-3. It’s his 28th in Test cricket, and means he’s hit triple figures in all of the nine countries he’s played the game in. Pakistan, meanwhile, will be boosted by taking two wickets for four runs late on in the day, with Wahab Riaz removing Ian Bell and the nightwatchman, Mark Wood.
