South Africa's leading wicket-taker has retired from Test cricket.

Dale Steyn say he will no longer play the longest form of the game in order to prolong his playing career.

The 36-year-old fast bowler took 439 wickets for the Proteas.

He was forced into the sideline at the World Cup with a recurring shoulder injury.
