Two-time Omega Dubai Desert Classic champion Tiger Woods is on track to win a record-equalling 82nd PGA Tour title.

The American was three shots ahead of Hideki Matsuyama with seven holes to play in the final round of the Zozo Championship in Japan when play was halted due to darkness.

The final round will resume at 2:30 am UAE time after midnight on Sunday night.

A win for the American will see him tie Sam Snead's record for the most ever PGA Tour wins.
