World No 8, David Ferrer, has been confirmed alongside Rafael Nadal and Milos Raonic for the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi over the new year. The Spaniard, who recently secured his milestone 25th ATP World Tour title at the Malaysian Open, returns to the UAE capital for the first time since he lost to Novak Djokovic in the final back in 2012. “It is always such a pleasure to come and play this tournament, there is always a lot of excitement in the crowd and the setup in Abu Dhabi is world class," said Ferrer. "I am excited to get the season underway. The players are always very strong so I know exactly what I can expect this year: tough, fast and exciting tennis." The Mubadala World Tennis Championship takes place at the Zayed Tennis Stadium between December 31 and January 2. Tickets for the event are available at www.ticketmaster.ae.
