Djokovic and Serena progress at US Open

Novak Djokovic and Serena William have reached the third round of the US Open.

Defending champion Djokovic shrugged off a shoulder problem to defeat Argentine Juan Ignacio Londero 6-4, 7-6, 6-1.

Meanwhile, Williams kept alive her hopes of securing a record-tying 24th Grand Slam title with a 5-,7 6-3, 6-1 win over American wildcard Catherine McNally. 

In other games, second seed Ashleigh Barty overcame American Lauren Davis 6-2, 7-6, while 10th seed Madison Keys beat China's Zhu Lin 6-4, 6-1.
