Emirates cricketer suspended

Ashfaq Ahmed has been suspended with immediate effect by the Emirates Cricket Board, after probes led by the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit.

According to an official statement, no formal charges have been laid and no further comment will be made until the conclusion of investigations.

The immediate focus for Emirates Cricket is the ICC World T20 Qualifiers.
